International Master Reddy M Chakravarthi from India wins Sri Lanka Open International Rating Chess Championship - 2019 with an impressive score of 9.5/10. He only drew against Isuru Aahakoon of Sri Lanka. he gained +4,0 Elo, taking his classical chess rating to 2396. Candidate Master Chandana Wijekoon Secured 2nd Place and Isuru Aahakoon won The Third Place. This Tournament Was held at Happy Liyoni Hotel, Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka from the 10th of August to the 14th of August 2019 . The Tournament Was Organized by Chess Federation of Sri Lanka. 

The Sri Lanka Open International Rating Chess Championship 2019 is an International Rating Open Chess event conducted by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka with a total prize fund of nearly Rs. 400,000/=. This prestigious event organized from 1972 was made Internationally Rated from 2006. The Chess Federation has decided to bring the event to Sri Lanka’s most sacred city and the Ancient Kingdom, Anuradhapura. Everyone, local/ International are requested to be tourists while playing your loved game.
