"NEGOMBO CHESS FESTIVAL" Open International Rating Chess Championship - 201 9 (5th Edition)

organized by the Gampaha District Chess Association on behalf of Chess Federation of Sri Lanka and FIDE From 16th to 20th August 2019, Town Hall, Negombo, Sri Lanka

PRIZES: Players who scored more than 30% are eligible to claim one individual prize.

Entry Fee :

All title players (GM,WGM,IM,WIM,FM,WFM) and rating above

2200 are free.

Free entrance for the 50+ players those who played National

Senior Citizens’ Championship or/and rated.

Free entrance for the vision impaired players who have

represented Sri Lanka.

Rated players 2000 – 2200 : Rs. 1,000/= *

Rated players 1800 - 1999 : Rs. 1 , 500/=

Rated players 1600-1799 : Rs. 2, 000/=

Rated players below 1600 Rs 3,000

Unrated players : Rs. 4,000/=

The bank slip should be produced prior to the 1st round.

A late fee of Rs. 500/= will be charged for the entries received after 13th August 2017. All local players should be registered with the CFSL to play in this event.

Special Offer:

All Sri Lankan 2000+ players will be offered Rs.10000/= after the completion of all rounds.***

If a player wants to represent Cooperate Sector Organization (CSO) or

Higher Education Institute (HEI), the player should be informed of the event

organizer before starting the 2nd round. The player should have proper

approval from the representing CSO / HEI to do so.

There should be a minimum of 3 players from the same CSO / HEI to claim a

team prize. Any number of players can represent the same CSO / HEI.

The team place will be decided by the top five players of the same CSO /

HEI. Only one team place can be claimed by one CSO / HEI. None can

represent both categories.

*** The offer will be reduced by 2000 for each half-point bye.
