Dear Chess Players,

Kandy Division - Junior National Chess Championship 2019 will be held on 6th and 7th July at Berrewearts Royal College - Ampitiya.

This is a themost prestigious chess event for the junior chessplayers in Sri Lanka. Winners willbe eligible to playthe National Junior Chess Championships with the selectees of other divisions.

Event:
There will two categories. Under 20 Girls and Under 20 Boys. The events will be held according to the Swiss System over 5 rounds. If number of players exceed 200 in an event, 6 rounds will be played.
Eligibility:
Those who are below 20 years before the 1st of January 2019 are eligible to participate in the event.

Rating Limits
All Boys who are under 1400 ELO must play the selections.
All Girls who are under 1200 ELO must play the selections.

Venue: Berrewearts Royal Primary College, Ampitiya

Awards :
Winners will be awarded with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and certificates and number of players to be qualified will be announced before the 2nd round.
Entry Fee
An entry fee of Rs. 750/= will be charged.
The CFSL 2019 registered players will get a Rs 250/= discount.
Entries:
The entries, with the relevant entry fee should reach or handed over to the organizing committee on or before the 05th of July 2019.
Special Registration: 3:00 pm to 5.00pm on 05th July 2019 at Berrewearts Royal Primary College, Ampitiya
