National Major Division Men/Women Chess Championships -Colombo 2020.

Organized by Chess Federation of Sri Lanka

This is to inform you all that the above event will be held on 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th of February 2020 as scheduled at Sastrananda Vidyalaya, Kawdana, Dehiwala

The Tournament will be FIDE rated with seven to nine rounds on the Swiss System. Fisher mode, 90 minutes each per a game is followed. The FIDE Laws as adopted by the CFSL.
The rated player below ELO 2000 and the players who played the Major Division earlier at least once are eligible to participate. All those who selected from Sri Lanka National (Novices Division) Chess Championship 2020 also can participate in the event.
The rated Women players below ELO 1700 and all those who selected from women Novices Chess Championship 2020 also can take part.

before 30 th January at 6.00pm.

Entry Fee: Rated players – Rs. 1000/= and Unrated players – Rs. 1500/= for both events. The entry fee will be doubled for the players who have not registered with CFSL for 2020.

All those who have not registered with CFSL May contact 0713755348 - Niroshan. for CFSL Registration. All players who played in National Youth Chess Championships 2019 regional events are already registered with CFSL for this year.

1 round starts at 9.00am, on 1st.

The event will be held according to the FIDE rules and regulations as adopted by the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka. All payments should be made in the 1st round. Who fails to complete their payment will be removed from pairing from the 2nd round.
