Dear Chess Friends,
On behalf of the Chess Federation of Sri Lanka, Kandy District Chess Association organized the qualifying event of Sri Lanka Inter Club B and Women’s Chess Championships - Kandy division qualifying tournament.
This event will be held on 29th and 30th of September 2018 at Berrewears Royal Primary School – Ampitiya. Starting time – 9.00 am on 29th of September 2018.
You can register at the tournament. Teams should consist of 6 players and 2 reserve may also participate in the event.
The event will be held according to the match points system using Swiss Manager Program and the top three teams will be advanced to play in the finals. The two top teams of the Inter Club Chess Championship are upgraded to the Super League Chess Championship next year provided that the Club of the winning team does not have a team already in the Super League. The entry fee will be Rs. 1500/- per team. Any number of teams from a club or institution may enter to play. Equipment Players are expected to bring their own chess boards and sets. All FIDE and CFSL rules shall apply. We invite all the chess clubs and Organizations to participate in this National Team Tournament.
